Show Notes:
– This was the first time since 2015.08.16 Budapest, Hungary that Sam Rivers played with the and and the first time since 2012.03.05 Claremont, Australia show that the original lineup of Limp Bizkit, including Fred Durst on vocals, Wes Borland on guitar, Sam Rivers on bass, John Otto on drums and DJ Lethal on turntables, performed live together.
– Wes came in late on the first verse of ‘Hot Dog’ due to a guitar malfunction.
– DJ Lethal played following interludes at this show: ‘Everyday’ after ‘Hot Dog’, ‘A Lesson Learned’ after ‘Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)’, ‘DJ Lethal’ (from 90.2.10) after ‘Livin’ It Up’, ‘I Want You To Stay’ after ‘Full Nelson’, ‘Take It Home’ after ‘Eat You Alive’ and an unknown interlude after ‘Break Stuff’.
– Fred made a shoutout to Gabe after ‘Show Me What You Got’.
– ‘I’m Broke’ was on the setlist but dropped during the show. The most likely reason for this is Fred rapping the first lines of the song before ‘Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)’ with almost nobody in the crowd reacting.
– Fred performed ‘Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)’ while walking through the crowd.
– Machine Gun Kelly joined the band for ‘My Generation’ from the bridge onwards.
– Fred went to the VIP balcony before ‘My Way’ and stood next to Marilyn Manson and Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), who were watching the show, until ‘Heart-Shaped Box’. Marilyn Manson ocassionally sung during both songs.
– The band played a Nirvana medley after ‘My Way’ including ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ and ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ until the first chorus. Wes played ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ in a different tune than usually and John accidently finished the first chorus of ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ early.
– Fred made shoutouts to Peter Katsis and Jordan Schur before ‘Nookie’. During the intro of ‘Nookie’, he also made a shoutout to Mike Muir from Suicidal Tendencies. ‘Nookie’ was played until the second chorus and went into ‘Full Nelson’.
– Wes jammed the intro of ‘Counterfeit’ twice at this show. Once he played the guitar intro before ‘Eat You Alive’ and later after ‘Pollution’ he, Sam and John jammed the intro together.
– Fred pulled hardcore fan Tobit (who joined the band for ‘Livin’ It Up’ at 2015.08.24 Stuttgart, Germany and 2018.08.18 Friedrichshafen, Germany) up on stage for ‘Pollution’. This was the first time since 2014.06.10 Haarlem, Netherlands that the song was played entirely.
– This was the first time since 2013.06.07 Rock Am Ring that ‘Boiler’ was played with the E-Bow intro. Fred made a shoutout to Tsuzumi Okai during the intro and didn’t scream during the last chorus of the song.
– Fred sang ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ (The Who cover) until the second chorus before telling DJ Lethal to stop the song during the last chorus of the song.
– Fred pulled staged opening artist Obey on stage after ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ and talked to him for a second.
– Fred made a shoutout to his brother Cory Durst before ‘Don’t Stop Believin” (Journey cover).
– Franky Dee sang ‘Don’t Stop Believin” (Journey cover). Fred introduced him right before he went on stage. This was the first and most likely only time that the song was played at a Limp Bizkit show.
– This was the first time ever that the band covered ‘Brain Stew’ by Green Day (until second chorus) and ‘Mouth For War’ by Pantera (until first chorus). Wes jammed the intro of ‘Sweet Child ‘O Mine’ by Guns ‘N’ Roses shortly before ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’ by Metallica (until the first chorus), which was played for the first time, too.
– A fan jumped into the crowd from the balcony during the bridge of ‘Break Stuff’.
– Before ‘Take A Look Around’, Fred filmed the crowd for an Instagram story and asked Jordan Schur for fun if he was on Instagram himself, following Fred to ask the audience to follow him. Later, during the bridge of ‘Take A Look Around’, he made further shoutouts to Peter Katsis and Obey.
– Screens in the venue displayed the songs’ lyrics and the reunion backdrop during the show.
– This was the longest show the band played since 2016.05.26 São Paulo, Brazil.
– Soundcheck included ‘My Way’, ‘My Way’ second chorus onwards instrumental again, an improvisation, ‘Nookie’ beats, ‘Nookie’ until second chorus into ‘Full Nelson’, ‘Bring It Back’, ‘Hold On’, ‘I’m Broke’, ‘Brain Stew’ by Green Day, ‘Mouth For War’ by Pantera, ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’ by Metallica until the first chorus and ‘Break Stuff’ first verse in half time beat.
