Show Notes:
– Wes briefly jammed the intro of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ by Guns n’ Roses before ‘Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)’.
– Wes and John jammed the bridge and intro of ‘Master Of Puppets’ by Metallica and the Simpsons Theme briefly before ‘Hot Dog’.
– DJ Lethal played the following interludes over the PA at this show: ‘Rawhide’ in A (originally by Frankie Laine, performed by The Blues Brothers) and ‘…Baby One More Time’ by Britney Spears (after ‘Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)’), ‘Party Up (Up In Here) by DMX, ‘Walk’ by Pantera and ‘Insane In The Brain’ by Cypress Hill (after ‘Livin’ It Up’), ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’ by Backstreet Boys (after ‘Boiler’) and ‘Careless Whisper’ by George Michael (after ‘Don’t Change’ (INXS cover)). Fred made the people in the crowd slow dance with each other for ‘Careless Whisper’ while he danced with his wife Arles.
– The band played ‘Thieves’ (Ministry cover) spontaneously in it’s short version to get the people going.
– Fred brought up a young fan called Cameron to join him on stage from the bridge of ‘Livin’ It Up’ until the end of the song.
– Wes and John jammed the intro of ‘Jerry Was A Race Car Driver’ by Primus before ‘Re-Arranged’.
– ‘Re-Arranged’ was played until the bridge and blended into the intro kick in of ‘Boiler’.
– ‘Nookie’ was played until the second chorus and went straight into ‘Full Nelson’ for which Fred pulled up a fan called Shane, who dressed up in the dad vibes character, to join him on vocals for the song. After that Fred invited him to sit on the dad recliner for the rest of the show.
– ‘Don’t Change’ (INXS cover) wasn’t on the setlist but spontaneously added after ‘Full Nelson’.
– ‘The One’ or ‘Gold Cobra’ were on the setlist before ‘Break Stuff’ but none of them were played. Fred asked the crowd for requests after the ‘Careless Whisper’ interlude and asked them if they wanted to hear ‘Gold Cobra’. Since the crowd almost showed zero reaction he decided to have the band play ‘Faith’ (George Michael cover) instead.
– The Nirvana Medley wasn’t on the setlist but played before ‘Break Stuff’, consisting of ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ and ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ until the first chorus.
– ‘Break Stuff’ had all the lights on but none of the openers joining the band as usual on the tour since the song was not planned to be the closer of the show. However it ended up being the last song of the show. This was the only time in 2022 that ‘Take A Look Around’ was not played despite being on the setlist.
– Soundcheck of this show included ‘Mountain Song’ by Jane’s Addiction, ‘Out Of Style’, ‘Hot Dog’ and ‘Nookie’ (until the second chorus) going into ‘Full Nelson’.
Other Notes:
– This was the first time since 2013 that the band played in Reno.
