Show Notes:
– The dad recliner was not on stage for the second time out of only three shows on the tour due to production restrictions. Therefore, ‘Dad Vibes’ was dropped again for this show and played as the show outro instead.
– This was the first of only two performances of ‘Show Me What You Got’ in 2022. For the first time ever, the band took a break during the first verse as the “met a child molester in Worcester” line was on. Fred commented: “met a child molester in Worcester, is that what I said? I’d like to officially correct myself for the first time. I met a child molester in Wucester” before the band continued the song.
– DJ Lethal played the following interludes over the PA at this show: ‘…Baby One More Time’ by Britney Spears and ‘I’m Shipping Up To Boston’ by Dropkick Murphys (after ‘Dirty Rotten Bizkit’), ‘Rawhide’ in A (originally by Frankie Laine, performed by The Blues Brothers) (after ‘Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)’), ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’ by Backstreet Boys (after ‘Hot Dog’), ‘Jump Around’ by House Of Pain and ‘Walk’ by Pantera (after ‘Livin’ It Up’), ‘Party Up (In Here)’ by DMX, ‘Hip Hop Hooray’ by Naughty By Nature and ‘Just A Friend’ by Biz Markie (after ‘Full Nelson’) and ‘Careless Whisper’ by George Michael (before ‘Gold Cobra’). Fred made the people in the crowd slow dance with each other for ‘Careless Whisper’ while he danced with his wife Arles and Malachi and Kate from Scowl briefly joined them on stage too.
– Wes and John jammed the intro of ‘Master Of Puppets’ by Metallica before ‘Dirty Rotten Bizkit’.
– Fred was a little late during the beginning of the middle choruses of ‘Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)’.
– This show marked the first performances of ‘Eat You Alive’ (first time since 2020.02.28 Riga, Latvia) and ‘Boiler’ in 2022.
– During the bridge of ‘Eat You Alive’, Fred asked Wes and Sam to join him for a photo with the crowd in the background. The photo was taken by Fred’s wife Arles.
– After ‘Eat You Alive’ Fred claimed this was possibly going to be the only time on this tour they will play the song, causing Wes to contradict him and claim that they will probably play it again during the tour (which turned out to be right.) Also, someone in the crowd held up a sign for ‘Gimme The Mic’, causing Fred to ask “why do you want the mic so bad?”.
– ‘Nookie’ was played until the second chorus and went straight into ‘Full Nelson’ for which Milkie Way from Wargasm UK joined the band on vocals for.
– Wes briefly jammed the intro of ‘South Of Heaven’ by Slayer before ‘Gold Cobra’.
– Fred suggested Wes to play “a couple of jams that we played in the 90s when we played here” causing Wes to start ‘Pollution’. That song was played until the beginning of the second verse before Fred aborted it, causing DJ Lethal to start the demo intro of ‘Counterfeit’. That song was then played until the first chorus too.
– ‘Boiler’ was played with the distorted guitar intro. Fred accidently continued singing the chorus when the second verse was supposed to start but quickly caught up himself.
– After ‘Take A Look Around’ the band invited all opening bands on stage and the band’s road crew to fake a goodbye including the ‘Saturday Night Live’ outro playing over the PA. Once everyone arrived on stage and “said” their goodbyes, Fred reveals that they “forgot” one song which follows in Wes starting ‘Break Stuff’ and the band playing the song straight.
– Soundcheck of this show was ‘Out Of Style’, ‘Dirty Rotten Bizkit’, ‘Pill Popper’, ‘It’ll Be OK’, ‘Nookie’ from first verse until the beginning of the bridge into ‘Full Nelson’, ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ (The Who cover) full band attempt, ‘Nobody Like You’ until the start of the first verse, ‘No Sex’ (until second chorus) and ‘N 2 Gether Now’ (until second chorus).
Other Notes:
– This was the first time since 2003 that the band played in Worcester and at the Palladium.
– This show was originally supposed to take place at the Tsongas Center (capacity up to 7000) in Lowell but moved to the Palladium in Worcester four weeks before the show due to low ticket sales. However, the Palladium was sold out and 2200 people were in attendance.
– You can find a short timelapse clip from the queue before the show, taken by us, at the end of the the video playlist below.
